As a photographer, I learned to embrace my surroundings to get a better sense of the reality I'm living in. Being a part of this community has made me realize how important culture and diversity can transform an environment. Growing up in Inwood has been quite the journey and with these images, I hope to create a story. Walking around Inwood seems normal to me; looking at the same things I pass by every day, I never took a moment to admire how significant they are in my life. I feel like I'm embracing what I find to be the best parts of the Inwood community.
